Who this applies to

This page is for anyone whose personal data Markoni has processed: hotel guests who messaged a property using Markoni (including over Instagram Direct or WhatsApp), website visitors, and hospitality operators or staff who used the product. If you are a Meta user who interacted with a hotel's Markoni-powered Instagram or WhatsApp account, this is the correct place to request deletion of the data that exchange created.

How to request deletion

Send an email to founders@markoni.ai with the subject line "Data deletion request". The button below opens a pre-filled email with the information we need.

What to include

• Your full name.
• The email address or phone number you used with Markoni or the property.
• The property (hotel, resort, villa) name, if applicable.
• If your request relates to a Meta platform (Instagram or WhatsApp), the handle or number you contacted us from.
• A short description of what you would like deleted.

Identity verification

To protect guest and customer data from fraudulent deletion requests, we may ask you to verify your identity — for example by replying from the email address or phone number on file, or by confirming details of a recent stay or conversation — before we process the request.

Customer and property coordination

Markoni processes guest data on behalf of the hospitality properties we serve. When your request relates to a specific stay or booking, we may confirm the deletion with the relevant property, since some records (such as booking and payment history) are controlled by that property rather than by Markoni directly. We will tell you if this applies to your request and what happens next.

What happens after you submit a request

We acknowledge deletion requests and begin processing them promptly. Once identity is verified, we delete or anonymize the personal data associated with your request across the systems Markoni controls, including data received through connected Meta channels.

Data we may be required to retain

Some records cannot be deleted immediately even after a valid request — for example, financial and booking records that hospitality properties are legally required to retain, records needed to resolve an open dispute or investigation, or data we must keep to comply with tax, accounting or other legal obligations. Where retention applies, we limit its scope to what the law requires and do not use retained data for any other purpose.
